How did Torchwood miss our collective nets?

BBC America will be premiering Torchwood:Children of Earth this July. Here is the trailer:

It has a “Fringe meets Children of the Corn” feel to me, but the interesting part is that this will mark the beginning of season 3 of the series! How did this make it into season 3 without me noticing? Weird. Apparently it airs on BBC America as well as HDNet in the US.

Guess that I am going to have to set a season pass for Torchwood and catch up on the first two seasons before season three starts.

  1. Yep, you're a little late to the party, but better late, and all that. Have you never heard of DOCTOR WHO either...the regenerated series, currently in it's fifth season, that spun off TORCHWOOD'S Capt. Jack? Between them you've been missing some pretty damn terrific television. :-)

  2. I watched the first season of the new Doctor Who, but when they changed the lead to the new guy.... meh.

Maybe I should give Doctor Who another shot.

  3. Ditto. I wasn't even through the first new Dr. Who series when I heard they switch the doctor out for series two. Then I stopped watching. Been meaning to go back to it.
